Somatic Yoga for Stress

From January 2026 I will be hosting a weekly Somatic Yoga for Stress class on Wednesday at 6pm at Revitalise in Hove.

Soma means “living body” and somatic yoga is a process of slowing down and tuning in to your sensory experience, noticing habitual holding patterns, breath awareness, subtle sensations and muscular tension.

The movements are gentle and intuitive, listening within and exploring where we could invite softness and release. The practice is a combination of rocking, rolling, shaking, stretching and mobilising, with a sense of curiosity and inner exploration rather than comparison or striving.

It is a beautifully relaxing and restorative form of yoga.
