Counselling FAQs

Who do I work with?

I offer counselling to anyone over the age of 18 who feels that face to face talking therapy could benefit them. I also offer telephone and online sessions.

Availabilty

I currently have availability on Monday and Tuesday evenings for in-person counselling, with further flexibility for telephone or online sessions – contact me to arrange a suitable time.

Location

My consultancy room is on Church Road in central Hove, accessible via several bus routes and with lots of on-street parking nearby

Referrals

If you would like to find out more, please email me letting me know what is the best way to get in touch with you.

We can either arrange an initial telephone call or a free 30 minute face-to-face meeting for you to gain a sense of me, ask questions about how I work, explore your expectations and hopes for counselling and decide if you think we could work together.

If you feel like I am a good fit for what you are looking for, we would agree to meet on a weekly basis for a 50 minute appointment at the same time and day and review our progress at agreed stages.

Pricing and Payment

Payment will be in advance of each of our sessions via bank transfer or my online payment system.

My hourly rate is £55. Concessions can be agreed on request.

Accountability

I meet on a regular basis with a clinical supervisor and I adhere to the BACP’s ethical framework for safe practice.

Confidentiality

You have the right to expect complete confidentiality during our work together. I will keep minimal notes about our interactions in accordance with GDPR and do not disclose your details to anyone.

If I have a safeguarding concern regarding a child, potential terrorism or if you or someone else is likely to suffer serious harm I will aim to gain your consent before sharing the necessary information.
